Issues in Technology at St Johns Episcopal School

Issues in Technology class will be organized into a debate-style class. Each of five topics will be researched, discussed and debated by teams on a regular basis. These issues will be examined by first listening to a teacher-led intro of the content, often enriched with digital content like videos. Then the students will be separated into sides, will research the issue and prepare the debate, and the debate will be conducted in class.

Grading:

Research for debate will be evaluated based on quality and quantity, as compared to the competing group. Individual participation in the debates will be graded using this rubric: (Debate Rubric Can Be Viewed Here)
